Im not a sony fun( ... this is very true ... this is very true for photography indeed, but for video i would kill to get a 24mm 1.4 and 50mm 1.4/1.2 with is. sony has a 50mm 1.8 oss.
All you remarks? are true but most people on youtube are seemingly young kidds and are fan of companies ( which i cants understand....why?? ) Canon could easily make 5d3 as good as c300 with minor tweaks but why should they? i do love the canon1dx and nikon d4 could you have imagined these 5 years ago?
a77 is? more ... a77 is? more expensive than d7. And they will not make a ff camera under 1000$. Nevertheless i wish they would give us a camera with a few adustments ( just a few ) because i love the inbody stabilisation

The manufacturers ... The manufacturers never will give the best they can its all marketing and sony is the leader in this. Problem with sony is that they have many issues like using accesoiries with their dslr's. I hoped that nikon would give us a better video in their new dslr since they dont produce video/film cameras Sony and canon will never make a camera to compete with their video camera's.? I use canon now but would use any brand if it serves my purposes. Don't be a fanatic of a brand
canon users are so ... canon users are so pretentious. sony makes taking great photos affordable and people cry about it and try to put it down. wait until sony releases a full frame dslr for under a 1000 bucks. that will be the canon killer. the a65 and a77 are comparable to these canons and for over a 1000 dollars less, maybe thats why people are upset that? they are being compared to sonys cheap line. and now they record in 24p.. goodbye canon

You seem to be ... You seem to be missing other factors such as 2x video crop mode, diffraction limits of such a high density sensor, adjustment lag, etc etc. I love sony as a company, and love their revolutionary concepts with cameras, but as with any camera, the shortcomings need to be acknowledged.? And btw, one thing that makes me believe you're misinformed is the fact that you said the 50D and D90 are it's competition, while both of these models have been replaced by the d7000 and 60d.
5.) Lastly, you ... 5.) Lastly, you seem confused about how MP's work. It only takes a 40% increase in linear and horizontal resolution to double the MP of a camera. In your statement, you say the 50D has half the resolution of the? A77. So if the sony had a 30mp sensor (which it doesn't), it would still only have 40% more resolution than the 50D, which in practice, isn't as substantial as it may seem.

It's a known fact that Sony lacks a good range of fast primes at the moment, and this is essential? to any professional photographers kit.

Sony uses an electronic viewfinder, I'm not quite sure if you've actually handled one considering you're? most likely a fanboy, but I have, and while it is impressive, it cannot perform in high contrast situations, or compare in quality to that of a traditional pentaprism design. In addition, the view finder eats a RIDICULOUS amount of battery power, leading to substantially fewer shots.
2.) 2.) ISO numbers ... 2.) 2.) ISO numbers don't mean ANYTHING if the performance can't back it up, which the sony cant. I could make a Canon 10D shoot at ISO 1,000,000, but it doesn't mean it would be any good. After viewing multiple tests, I, as? well as others, have come to the conclusion that the a77 ISO performance is about AS GOOD as the 4 year old 50D. Please check the DPreview raw ISO tests for proof and examples.

In the used market, ... In the used market, there are more stabilized lenses for Sony than there are for Nikon and Canon combined. And, more stabilized lenses for Sony than there are lenses - period - for either Nikon or Canon. If you MUST buy brand new - then Sony's offering is more shallow than either Nikon or Canon, but where are the holes in the line-up? Excepting? a few highly specialized lenses that almost nobody shoots, what can you get for Nikon or Canon that you can't for Sony?

Sure, a DSLR with ... Sure, a DSLR with visible noise even at ISO 100, AF system with strange placement of AF sensors, no AF groups/AF expansion, not enough buffer to shoot more? than 1.5 seconds at high speed and a VF that cannot refresh fast enough for its own high speed mode.
A 77s strength is video and a big VF, but regarding base SLR functions, EOS 7D/Nikon D300s are still ahead.
How do you want to ... How do you want to use the 12fps on the Sony anyway? Even? at 8fps the viewfinder lags behind the actual image, so it's more or less useless.
